The whole edit in one prompt
Cut my clips into a 90-second vlog for TikTok. Follow this order. - 0-5s: today's plan, to camera - 5-20s: setting off, b-roll and a line - 20-60s: the main thing, talking plus b-roll - 60-75s: a small problem or surprise - 75-85s: wrap up to camera - 85-90s: last b-roll shot Pacing: talking 5-15 seconds, b-roll 2-4 seconds. Open with this. Say what today is about in the first sentence. Captions: phrase captions on speech, none on b-roll. Music: one or two tracks, ducked under speech. Avoid these. 40 seconds of talking with no cut. No point to the day. Music over your voice. When you're done, list what you changed with timestamps so I can check.
One step at a time
- Vlog rough cut prompts. Length, beat order, and pacing.
- Vlog caption prompts. Style, position, and which words get bigger.
- Vlog hook prompts. The first few seconds and the cut after them.
- Vlog music and pacing prompts. Track, volume, and cutting on the beat.
- Vlog b-roll prompts. Which shots to pull and where they go.
What to say when it's off
- Captions. Captions over your face. "Move captions to the lower third."
- Hook. Hook starts late. "Cut the breath and the half second before I start talking."
- B-roll. B-roll stays too long. "Come back to my face after 3 seconds of b-roll."
