The whole edit in one prompt
Cut my clips into a 90-second process video for TikTok. Follow this order. - 0-3s: the riskiest step, mid-action - 3-10s: what the piece is and what you're trying - 10-50s: three or four steps, fast stretch then a real-time detail - 50-70s: the moment it could have gone wrong - 70-90s: the finished piece, one line Pacing: real time (2-4s) then 10x-30x, back and forth. Open with this. The strangest step first, "attaching preserved flowers felt like gambling" Captions: 3-5 word phrases over the voice, or short notes if silent. Music: low under the voice, can drop out on a real-time detail. Avoid these. All sped up, no real-time moments. Explaining every step. Blurry close-ups. When you're done, list what you changed with timestamps so I can check.
One step at a time
- Process video rough cut prompts. Length, beat order, and pacing.
- Process video caption prompts. Style, position, and which words get bigger.
- Process video hook prompts. The first few seconds and the cut after them.
- Process video music prompts. Track, volume, and cutting on the beat.
What to say when it's off
- Rough cut. Too long. "Cut it to 70 seconds. Drop the weakest part first."
- Captions. Captions over your face. "Move captions to the lower third."
- Hook. Hook starts late. "Cut the breath and the half second before I start talking."
- Music. Music fights the voice. "Lower the music to 15% whenever I'm talking."
