Can AI actually understand what is in my raw footage?

Yes, with one caveat about what "understand" means. A modern AI editor transcribes every spoken word with timestamps and writes a description of every scene. Who's in frame, what they're doing, what's visible, when the shot changes. That's enough to find "the part where I hold up the canvas" without scrubbing. It isn't taste.
