More on InstagramVyra is an AI video editor that runs in your browser. Go to app.usevyra.com, upload your clips, and describe the video you want. Vyra transcribes and describes every clip, builds the timeline, and you export an MP4 up to 4K. There's nothing to download, and the heavy work happens on Vyra's servers, so it runs on an ordinary laptop.
Why edit in the browser
- No install, no updates. Open the tab and the editor is there, on any Mac or Windows computer.
- Your laptop doesn't do the heavy work. Transcription, scene analysis, and rendering run on Vyra's servers. You edit smooth 720p proxies, and the export uses your originals.
- Your projects follow you. Sign in on another computer or on the iPhone app and your work is there.
- Your AI can drive it. Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor connect over MCP and edit the same project while you watch the tab.
How it works
- Open app.usevyra.com and upload. MP4, MOV, and common phone and camera formats, plus images and audio.
- Wait for indexing. Every word gets a timestamp and every scene gets a description.
- Describe the edit. Length, platform, what to keep, captions, music.
- Adjust. Ask for changes in chat or open the timeline and drag.
- Export. MP4 (H.264) at 480p, 720p, 1080p, original size, or 4K on Pro plans.
What you can ask for
| You type | Vyra does |
|---|---|
| "Cut this 20-minute recording to a 60-second Short" | Picks the best takes from the transcript and hits the length |
| "Find every shot of the coffee machine" | Searches scene descriptions and lists timestamps |
| "Captions, 3 to 5 words, bold white" | Adds phrase captions in that style |
| "Cut the b-roll to the beat" | Lands cuts on the beats of your track |
| "Make a 9:16 version" | Reframes for vertical |
Prompts to paste
Here are 14 clips from my trip. Make a 50-second vertical montage. Open on the drone shot, cut to the beat of the track I uploaded, no captions.
Turn my 25-minute podcast into three 45-second clips. Pick the moments with the strongest opinions, add captions, and export each at 1080x1920.
Tips for browser editing
- Keep the Vyra tab in front while it exports. Browsers slow down background tabs.
- Upload the original files, not screen recordings or re-exports. Re-encoding loses quality.
- Use Chrome, Edge, or another current browser.
