ChatGPT can plan a video but can't cut one. Connect it to Vyra through MCP and it gets your footage and the editing tools. "Find the best take and build the edit" becomes something it can actually do.

List what's in my Vyra project and describe the footage in a few lines. Then cut a 60-second 9:16 video. Best takes, pauses over half a second removed, no captions yet. Read the timeline back when done.

Script to edit

Here's the script I wrote with you earlier. Find the take of each line in my footage, put them in script order, cut the rest. Where I stumbled, use the last clean take.

Style match

Describe the attached reference video's cut rhythm, caption style, and music behavior in three lines. Then apply those three things to my footage. Where my instructions and the reference disagree, follow mine.

A typical workflow

Ask ChatGPT to summarize and propose a structure. Approve it in text.
Go step by step. Rough cut, captions, music, overlays. Ask for frame captures to check.
Finish in the Vyra timeline if you want, then export.
